Bloomington, Indiana is the perfect community to showcase the maker movement. There is a large art community using traditional, digital fabrication, 3D printers, screen printing, laser cutters, CNCs, and loads of other innovative art techniques. There is also an interest in recycling and “upcycling” as community members work to reduce waste and live intentionally. Finally, as the location of Indiana University, this background of a college town provides the expansion of a community that loves to learn, explore, build, make, and support each other.
